Hi, I'm Ria Jason.
A mother, educator, lifelong learner, and the founder of The Little Explorers — a place built not from a curriculum, but from a question.
The Beginning
My journey didn't begin in a classroom. It began at home, with my daughter, a book, and a quiet afternoon that would change everything.
I sat down with her to read through a chapter. She read it beautifully — smoothly, confidently, without a single stumble. I was overjoyed. Proud, even.
Then I asked her to read the next chapter. And she couldn't read the very first word.
That realization stopped me completely. And it led me to ask the one question that would define everything that came after it.
The Question That Changed Everything
This question sent me on a journey. I joined a school, started teaching, began researching. I wanted to understand the why behind how we teach children.
Then one day, a parent from my class called me and asked:
I had no answer. I only knew the syllabus I'd been given. That moment ignited something deeper — a thirst to truly understand the purpose behind every method we use with children.
Finding My Calling
I threw myself into learning. I attended Jolly Phonics workshops. I researched reading methodologies. I asked questions that most educators don't ask — not because they don't care, but because they've never had the time or the space to wonder.
With every workshop, every conversation, every late-night session of reading and researching, something became clear.
And with that calling came a new mission: to make sure that every child I ever teach would learn — truly learn — with no gaps, no shortcuts, and no guesswork.
The Birth of
The Little Explorers
In April 2021, in the middle of a global pandemic, when the world had slowed down and families were looking for something real — I launched The Little Explorers under my firm, Zing Edu-Tech.
What started as small online sessions quickly became something much bigger. Parents noticed. Children changed. Families reached out from Kochi, Kolkata, and beyond.
Our mission: to build strong foundations. Not just in reading and writing — but in curiosity, confidence, and the love of learning itself.
What I Believe
These aren't just words on a page. These are the principles that guide every single session, every interaction, every decision made at The Little Explorers.
Understanding comes before repetition. Every concept must make sense to the child before they can truly own it. We never rush past comprehension.
A child who asks "why" is a child who is learning. We protect that curiosity. We celebrate it. We build entire lessons around the questions children dare to ask.
Strong roots make strong trees. We take our time with the basics — because a solid phonics foundation changes everything that comes after it.
Sometimes we have to unlearn what we thought we knew. For parents, for teachers, for children — the courage to start fresh is where real growth begins.
My Promise to
Every Family
I will teach them the way they deserve to learn."
Every family that walks into The Little Explorers — online or offline — deserves to feel seen, heard, and supported. I promise to meet your child where they are, to honour the questions they ask, and to celebrate every small step forward.
I promise to never take shortcuts with your child's foundation. I promise to keep you informed, involve you in the journey, and ensure you always feel confident in your child's progress.
I started this because of a question I asked about my own daughter. And I will never stop asking questions — about how we teach, why we teach, and how we can always do better.
